PlaylistPilot™ and YouTube

How YouTube data is used

PlaylistPilot™ only uses YouTube data to provide the playlist-management features you choose to use.

Requested permission

youtube.force-ssl

This lets PlaylistPilot™ read the connected channel and playlists, and create, update, reorder or remove playlists and playlist items only when you choose those actions in the app.

1. You choose to connect YouTube

From Accounts & Platforms, you select YouTube and are sent to Google’s consent screen. PlaylistPilot™ requests the single scope youtube.force-ssl.

2. You choose what to manage

After connection, you can browse your own YouTube playlists and choose which playlist to import or manage. PlaylistPilot™ does not make playlist changes unless you initiate that action.

3. Data is used only for the requested feature

The app reads the connected channel and playlist information needed to display and manage selected playlists. Credentials are held in restricted server-side storage and are never returned through the playlist interface.

4. You can revoke access

You can disconnect YouTube in Accounts & Platforms at any time. That removes the stored YouTube credentials from PlaylistPilot™ and stops future access.

Our commitment

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or profiling, or allow third parties to use it for those purposes. PlaylistPilot™’s use and transfer of Google API data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
