A fairer way to pitch

Why we ask for your master

A link tells us what the release is. Your master lets us assess the record itself—privately, consistently and on its own merits.

Measured, not guessed

We measure the supplied audio for peak control, stereo behaviour, spectral balance and how its energy develops. That gives the curator useful evidence without pretending an algorithm has listened like a person.

Judged against real playlists

The assessment considers where the record fits within the curator’s actual playlist network. It supports a better-informed decision; it never guarantees placement.

Kept private

Your master is stored privately and is available to the receiving curator for review. It is not published on the public profile or made available as a public download.

Released and unreleased music

For a released track, we compare the uploaded file’s duration with the Spotify release. If they differ, we ask you to confirm that you supplied the same track and version.

Unreleased music has no Spotify release to compare against, so that duration confirmation does not apply. The master is still required so the pitch can receive the same technical and playlist-fit assessment.

Loudness is measured for context, not used as a pass or fail. Different genres call for different mastering decisions.
